Welcome

Training

Experienced and Qualified

I am trained integrative therapist which means I am to tailor the approach to our work according to your needs. My training included CBT, Psychodynamic, TA and Person Centred theory.

I have a specialist qualification in trauma therapy, which includes rape and sexual abuse, and my training ensures you have the expertise needed to support you without re-traumatising you. Trauma can affect the way you are able to function in your life, and I believe that no matter what we have been through in our lives, we don't have to be trapped by the past; we all have the resources to grow and be the best we can be, and counselling can help you to access that internal strength. If you are a survivor of rape or sexual, emotional, physical or domestic abuse, your safety and stability are at the core of my work.

I have specialist post graduate training in relationship psychotherapy and am able to help you navigate whatever relationship issues you are struggling with. My training included models from Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), The Gottman Method, Psychodynamic and Behavioural approaches. It also included progressive approaches and working with non-traditional relationships.

About Me

It takes courage to make the first step to ask for help, and you have found your way here. I will support you and provide a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space within which we can explore your issues together. Counselling can be a transformative experience that can help foster greater awareness of ourselves and how and why we react to situations.  In our sessions, we can work together towards unlocking your full potential to live a fulfilling life.

Experience

My experience working within the NHS as a health coach and using art therapeutically has given me a broad view of ways we can improve our mental health alongside talk therapy. Our physical and mental well-being are interconnected and we can, should you wish to, look at practical, yet gentle approaches to help alleviate your symptoms such as lifestyle improvements.

Through my experience working in counselling agencies with clients from diverse backgrounds and private practice, I have worked with a variety of different issues such as depression, anxiety and low self-esteem, stress, panic attacks, low confidence, trauma, relationship difficulties and work and family problems. Whatever may be troubling you, I am here to offer my support.

I currently volunteer at a rape crisis centre where I offer counselling to survivors of rape and sexual abuse, I find my work there extremely rewarding and feel privileged to be part of the client's journey towards healing.

I have experience working with neurodiversity, including ADHD, autism, and dyspraxia, and I am able to adapt my way of working to best fit you as the individual you are.

I am always happy to answer any questions you may have.

I look forward to hearing from you!
